The Virtual Campus: Sharing Success Strategies and Lessons Learned
August 19, 2020 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
County College of Morris has operated a virtual campus alongside its traditional offerings for the last several years. By operating the virtual campus as a dedicated virtual learning environment, the college has developed a sustainable model dedicated to delivering the best possible experience, crafted specifically for the learner.
Join this session to learn more about how the virtual campus has been an asset to CCM, both through normal operations and now, by providing lessons learned to make the traditional campus’s transition to remote learning more seamless. Building the virtual campus specifically for the online learning modality has generated a number of benefits for CCM, including:
- Development of best practices for online teaching and learning
- Providing guidance to traditional campus instructors and programs for the transition to remote learning
- Strategies for providing excellent student service for remote learners
- Strategies to identify technology needs, employ a consistent vetting process, and develop an intentional implementation process
