San Francisco, CA & Newark, NJ, March 27, 2018 – Edge, a nonprofit organization which provides digital and IT solutions to academic and research institutions, and OOHLALA Mobile, the leading mobile platform for student engagement, have entered a strategic partnership to provide college students and faculty with academic, residential, and co-curricular information through a streamlined mobile platform.

The OOHLALA app integrates directly with universities’ Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Information Systems (SIS), as well as other critical student service systems and data sources, to drive student engagement in academics, services, events and activities, and collect real-time data on the student experience. Through the collaboration, students will have real time access to secure LMS and SIS information, along with co-curricular athletics, clubs, organizations and campus events.

“Edge is committed to employing forward-thinking technology and data solutions that help academic institutions drive student success,” said Dr. Samuel Conn, President and CEO at Edge. “The OOHLALA platform will empower students to communicate with peers and faculty in new ways and embrace on-campus opportunities. Institutional leaders will access new insights that will help improve support services and meet the unique needs of students.”

OOHLALA Mobile will also help administrators digitize the teaching environment. Faculty and staff will be able to track student engagement, receive immediate feedback, and send targeted content and communication to their students.

“The popularity and effectiveness of mobile communication on campus gives schools an unprecedented opportunity to help students engage – and, in turn, boost retention,” said Danial Jameel, Co-Founder and CEO at OOHLALA. “We look forward to working with Edge and its member institutions as they pursue innovative technologies to connect all members of the academic community, especially today’s generation of students.”

The OOHLALA mobile app is used by more than 200 colleges and universities worldwide to improve student engagement and communications.
