Appointment Includes Promotion to Associate Vice President
Newark, NJ – Edge is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Rearden to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Associate Vice President. In this capacity, Joe will lead day-to-day operations for Edge, manage the annual budget and direct all facets of Edge’s financial objectives as set forth in the company’s three-year strategic plan.
As CFO, Joe will work with each division of Edge to plan the year’s spending budget, outline objectives in accordance with the company’s four strategic themes and ensure each objective includes a clear deliverable with measurable performance results. Additionally, Joe will serve as the liaison between existing corporate partners and members and manage licensing agreements with existing and prospective vendors. To further strengthen Edge’s service and support to its respective communities, Joe will actively promote initiatives that align with member goals.

Joe brings extensive financial and operational leadership as well as legal experience to Edge. Prior to joining Edge in 2010, he implemented projects funded by the NJ Department of Commerce and USAID, served as the consortium’s business manager and was a key member of the in-house counsel team for a multi-billion dollar financial services company. Joes has a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire, School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
