SUMMARY:EdgeLearn Table Session
DESCRIPTION:Join Us for Our Inaugural EdgeLearn Table Session \nEdgeLearn Table Sessions are where we set the table for collaborative discourse by bringing the EdTech community together to take notice of and reflect on topics relevant to the practice of working with educational technology. \nAs practitioners and leaders in EdTech\, many of us take notice of challenges and opportunities inherent to teaching and learning with technology everyday. Each table session will be an exploration of 2 topics where we collaborate and benefit from having many minds at one table. \nOur inaugural EdgeLearn Table Session will be moderated by Josh Gaul\, Executive Director of EdgeLearn. Josh brings over 15 years of experience in higher education and educational technology to the Edge community. \n3pm – 3:30pm \nTrusting Your Students – A discussion considering the students’ point of view on proctoring. When schools implement a proctoring solution\, how do they explain it? Do most students accept it as a normality or find it unnecessary? \n3:30pm – 4pm \nFlexibility at a Cost – A discussion focusing on the attempt to marry videoconferencing with in person instruction. Does HyFlex really work? Should schools take an “everybody at a distance or nobody at a distance” approach to class sessions? How do faculty build pedagogical models on the fly to handle these forms of instruction? \nReserve Your Seat at the Table HERE
